HomeHop Moving
Service Policies
Customer-facing guidance for moving, delivery and select trailer-transport services.
Last updated: July 25, 2026
Service scope
HomeHop provides residential and apartment moving, small moves, delivery, loading and unloading help, small and medium office moves by quote, and select trailer transport. Industrial and enterprise-scale relocations are not offered. Crew size and vehicle capacity are selected based on the confirmed move.
Hours
Moving services are available seven days a week by appointment. Customer support and quotes are available Monday–Friday, 9:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m. We aim to respond during the next customer-support period.
Quote and booking
A quote request is reviewed before HomeHop confirms the scope, complete price, date and booking in writing. Submitting a request does not confirm the price or booking.
Pricing and travel
Starting flat rates apply to straightforward local jobs with standard access. Standard moving is billed at the confirmed crew rate with a two-hour minimum and 15-minute increments after the minimum. Travel for hourly moving is confirmed separately before booking.
Payment
Cash and e-transfer are accepted. Payment is due immediately after service unless the confirmed quote states different terms. Deposits and card payments are not active.
Cancellation and rescheduling
At least 24 hours’ notice is requested. Late changes or failed access may result in a fee only where costs have already been incurred and the possible fee was disclosed before booking.
Waiting and access
Items, sellers, stores, elevators, loading areas and access must be ready. Up to 15 minutes may be allowed where practical. One-mover waiting is $20 per 15 minutes; hourly moving waiting is billed at the booked crew rate in 15-minute increments.
Third-party costs
Approved parking, toll, ferry, permit or building costs are charged at actual cost where relevant and identified in the confirmed quote.
Restricted work
Hazardous or illegal goods, leaking machinery, unsafe chemicals, unsupported specialty-heavy items, unsafe access, non-roadworthy trailers, disabled vehicles, accident recovery and oversized loads may be declined or require prior approval.
Damage reporting
Visible damage or loss should be reported as soon as reasonably possible with photos and relevant details for review under the confirmed scope, customer preparation, applicable coverage and British Columbia law.
